Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes...

Well, we finally got halfway transferred over to b5media, and now The Beauty Blog is officially eBeautyDaily! That was quite the stressful move, even from my perspective, as nothing but a blogger. I cannot imagine what the honchos were really going through. I did get a bit of an inside peek by working with the developer on troubleshooting some issues, lucky me! So please come by and see me there, you can send your beauty questions and comments to christina@b5media.com as well.

Weblog Network b5media LLC Announces Merger with About Weblogs

Shai Coggins explained that the deal enables the networks and theirbloggers to benefit from each other’s strengths and strategies.

“This merger is like a marriage in the world of bloggingnetworks,” said Coggins. “b5media and About Weblogs arecoming together like two people with different strengths, personalitiesand opportunities, but with very similar visions and goals. We need these similarities and differences to make a good partnership. And, Ibelieve that we’re a great fit. I’m definitely looking forward to working with Jeremy, Darren, Duncan, and the rest of thewonderful b5 team.”

Duncan Riley of b5media explained that the full integration of all the About Weblogs blogs would take a number of weeks.

“As with any merger there are a number of technical issues tosort out. However, we would expect that all blogs would be fully integrated into b5media by the end of November”.

b5media Weds AboutWeblogs :)

b5media Weds AboutWeblogs :)

Well, it is finally official--we are joining the b5media network! Ooh, I hate to keep a secret--especially one that is so exciting to me.

I remember back in July, when I came on to AboutWeblogs,I was so nervous about actually writing a blog that someone mightactually see (LOL). Well I have stepped in it now! My hubby thinks I amscared of success, and he is right. I am shaking in my Pink Wellies, but unbelievably excited to be working with the geniuses (in my mind anyway) at b5.

Shai keeps talking about this merger in relation to a courtship andmarriage--there is something kinda sexy about that for sure. Maybe thatis why we are so excited! :)

So many things so little time

I have moved the Superbugwiki Discussion Group over to the MRSA Resources Forum today. These things take such a massive amount of time--but I always learn so much from trying to transfer a MySql database. So all is well now. Hallelujah :)

Have you checked out MRSA Resources?

Promo for MRSA Resources

MRSAResources.com is announcing the official launch of the Superbug Wiki at http://www.superbugwiki.com.This is an important resource for MRSA patients and their supportnetwork, as well as for schools, athletic organizations and others inour communities who are interested in learning more about theantibiotic resistant bacteria that are becoming more and more prevalentin our community setting.

October 27, 2005 -- MRSAResources.com is pleased to announce the official launch of the Superbug Wiki Project at http://www.superbugwiki.com/.The Superbug Wiki is an open database focusing on MRSA andantibiotic-resistant bacteria. A growing catalog of information fromvarious sources in print and from the WWW is contained within the Wiki, and is viewable and editable by anyone with access to the World WideWeb.

The Superbug Wiki Project was founded in August 2005 by ChristinaJones, of College Station, TX. Her interest in Superbug education camefrom her husbands’ survival of a Methicillin-resistantStaphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection of his spine, blood, and organsystems. The project is being maintained by MRSA Resources (http://www.mrsaresources.com),and its contributors - Ms. Jones, Denise Rauff of the Hands of HopeGroup, Inc. and Maureen Daly - all of whom have been affected by MRSAand are working on a volunteer basis towards infection education, community awareness of MRSA and the reduction of hospital and communityacquired MRSA infections.

The main areas of the Superbug Wiki include a Knowledge Base, aSuperbug FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), a Prayer Chain and aDiscussion Forum (http://www.discuss.superbugwiki.com/).The project currently contains approximately 100 articles, and isgrowing daily through the contributions of people all over the world. We invite anyone who is interested in the growing threat of antibioticresistant bacteria to come and learn, ask questions and contributeinformation to the Superbug Wiki.

MRSA Resources was founded by Christina Jones in April of 2005 as ahandy source of information for people who are battling MRSA infectionsand do not have a lot of time to research. Ms. Jones merged her effortswith Ms. Rauff, Ms. Daly and The Hands of Hope Group, Inc. (http://www.handsofhopegroup.com/)in August of 2005 in the interest of combining their strengths andresources. Together they provide educational articles, awarenessbrochures and other materials to anyone who wants them and theymaintain an active and growing community of MRSA sufferers.
